Great interest in testing tools and materials at Plugz.nl

At the beginning of May, www.plugz.nl went live and September will see the start of at least eight product campaigns. Plugz gives suppliers the opportunity to offer tools and construction materials free of charge. Over the past few months hundreds of Dutch professionals have signed up to this new platform for the construction and installation sector in order to test tools and materials. Testing products, giving an opinion on them and discussing them with others; that’s what it’s all about.

Eight product campaigns by renowned suppliers will begin in September. Plugz participants can sign up to test the revolutionary Arbortech brick and mortar saw from Klop Innovations. A pool of testers will be testing three appliances. Wiltec will be distributing 120 pairs of Showa grip gloves and Tremco illbruck 120 cans of PU 700 construction adhesive. Stanley is looking for 50 testers for its new and improved FatMax retractable knife, while the importer of Australian Steel Blue footwear will be personally measuring 6 people for a pair of safety shoes. Ferney Group will be distributing 30 of its 6-piece Kel-Cobra drill sets and the seventh product is Omnicol’s new-formula tile cement in the form of a paste. Finally, online wholesaler Toolstation wants to hear what 100 Pluggerz think of its catalogue and website. In return the company will be offering them a voucher worth 25 euros to order a product of their choice.

Test new products
People who like to be the first to try out new products and who want to keep up to date with product innovations are very welcome as participants. Plugz is looking for carpenters, tilers, decorators, electricians and road builders in The Netherlands, as well as foremen, planning engineers, buyers and bosses themselves. Anyone, in fact, who believes that good tools and materials are important. They can register at www.plugz.nl. There's little to stop you from taking part. Registration is free of charge and, in principle, the product is yours to keep at the end of the test period. In return everyone is expected to answer a few questions on the website. For example, about ease of use, durability, convenience, appearance and the price.

At the heart of the target group
Plugz is a new marketing tool for the Dutch technical market that facilitates discussion about a product at the heart of the target group. User opinions are uncovered and it becomes clear whether people are talking about the product and what they are saying. This allows a snowball effect to start right at the heart of the market. The information can be followed publicly on the site and remains accessible in summarised form in an archive. Plugz provides an opportunity for public discussions in which anyone can take part.
The website is an initiative of the communication consultancy DeJong&Verder, which specialises in construction and engineering, and Internet company Click Internet Concepts.
